Advantages of Owning a Buford
  • No feed to buy
  • No cattle to gather
  • No horns to wrap
  • No chute help
  • No need for a pen or an arena
  • Designed for use by one or a crowd

Buford costs the same as about five or six roping steers, a very
substantial savings in the roping business.  Buford is a very safe
machine, especially for young ropers.  There is little chance of getting a
finger jerked off in a dally.

Buford runs on 110 and 220 volt electricity and has a DC converter with
a variable speed control.  Slow Buford down to a slow walk or speed him
up to a fast lope with the turn of a dial.  Changing speeds with Buford
has never been easier.

Neck carpet cuts down on noise from rope and gives a more life-like feel
when your rope strikes the dummy.

We sell a standard model with a center pivot that is concreted in the
ground if you plan to leave Buford in one place.  If not, we also provide a
portable model where stakes hold the center pivot in place and can be
withdrawn to move Buford to other locations.  We also sell a left-handed
model.

Timer-delay switch in head and heels that allows roper sufficient time to
get rope off, reload and in to position for the next run.
